phylliscaroline would whip up a batch of
scones the minute anyone appeared in her back lobby, her pasty plate was the
star of the church trading table for forty years and she knitted hundreds of
jumpers for charity with the ladies of the Ladies Aid. The memories of
our grandmothers’ domesticated lives are the inspiration for creativity and
generosity as we make our way through the modern world.
What a beautiful reflection! My grandmother's love was expressed in many ways, but we particularly felt it at the table. Aren't we lucky to have those memories and those footsteps to follow?
ReplyDeleteThanks Michele. Yes those kitchen table memories live on.
