Step 1: get out all the bowls you own.
Step 2: borrow some more from your neighbour.
This is how the recipe for the Chocolate FloRo Elegance should start. Luckily I'm as fond of little bowls as Rose seems to be. And I skipped the buttercream and glaze so that saved on multitudes of bigger bowls. In fact I skipped on all the decoration so my cake is the Chocolate FloRo minus the elegance - in her underwear so to speak. And she has a good career ahead of her as an underwear model...okay maybe I'm taking the analogy too far but this is one great cake. If you love a dark, moist, coffee-ish cake then this one is for you.
I was really struggling to get my Alpha Baker homework done this week so the cake is basic and the post is short. But I got to have a piece of chocolate cake for breakfast this morning so it's all worth it (how can I say it's delicious if I haven't tasted it?).

Next week the Alpha Bakers are making Meringue Birch Twigs.
Your BVD cake looks divine!
ReplyDeleteLooks so delicious! You are hilarious! I laughed at your analogy.. :) Wow..I'm envious you get to eat a slice!
ReplyDeleteSteps 1 and 2 are very important! I almost think the cake would be better this way. The buttercream stole the show and the cake was divine.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to start the day with a giggle from your post! Steps 1 and 2 are definitely crucial. What is the delicious looking filling then, whipped cream? This the type of breakfast I prefer!
ReplyDeleteMy kids ate this cake for breakfast all last week. ;)
